Gholamhossein Gharib is the poet of complicated concepts within simple forms. He looks for a deconstructed regeneration of popular and local cultures in Iran. Deconstructed, because he aims to familiarize the popular culture with non-popula...r one and his version of non-popular culture is neither intellectual nor “traditionalist” one. He wishes the reunion between contemporary-daily concepts, perceptions and symbols and some ancient, old ones; that’s why he is in combat with sedu-traditions. Gharib is an ethnographer poet who has the passion of seeking originalities and roots; what a difficult mission of harmonizing these three in one!!
